We stand at a critical juncture in our journey as pastors, tasked with shepherding our flocks in a world that increasingly challenges the very essence of God’s truth. With a fervent plea and a heart full of conviction, we invite you to our 2023 Pastors Conference entitled “Overcome Culture.” This gathering will serve as a clarion call to adopt, embrace and declare a biblical worldview within and without the four walls of our churches. Pastor Jim has a very practical and loving style in his teaching through the Bible. This approach reveals his passion to communicate the truth of God's Word in a way that will help to develop the new Christian and yet challenge even the most seasoned believer to experience a more effective and closer walk with the Lord. At the same time his desire is to call to repentance those who have yet to experience the love of God and to receive salvation through the finished work of the cross. A resounding theme seems to be in making a distinction between being merely religious verses cultivating a real relationship with the one True Living God.
Ken Graves is the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Bangor. He grew up in Bangor, Maine, but left at the age of 16 to pursue training in the ministry. At the age of 22, he responded to a call from God to present the Gospel and build a church in his hometown. The church began in 1991 in his Bangor apartment with a core of about twelve people.
In 1996, God allowed them to be a part of starting a full power radio station, WJCX 99.5 FM. This became a very powerful tool for preaching the Gospel of Christ and in making disciples and really equipping people with Biblical knowledge, as well as being a blessing to the many other Bible believing churches in central Maine. They continue to grow in size as well as expand in their ministry. Ken Graves’s show “GODSWORD” has an extremely simple format. He just reads the Bible, explains it in simple terms and people respond.
Josh Blevins is the Senior Pastor of Grace Calvary Chapel in Saint Joseph, MO. Josh is passionate about seeing people come alive in Christ, awakened to their God-given callings, and grounded in God’s all-sufficient Word. Josh is an author, songwriter and has traveled the country establishing churches and encouraging local pastors and church leaders. On any given day you might find Josh in a local coffee shop, enjoying the outdoors with his family, or attempting to build something out of wood in the garage.
Josh & Ashley have been married for 16 years and have one son, Cahlan, and two daughters, Taylor & Kayla.
Pastor Ray Jaramillo Planted CC Rio Grande Valley as a home fellowship from their home in 1992 which has blossomed to a thriving church and school that is reaching the community. Pastor Ray has served faithfully for the last 27 years.
Pastor Wes is the founding Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Troy, Missouri. He grew up in the rich environment of Southern California, spending much of his time in sports and surfing. As the North American Representative for Voice of the Martyrs during the mid-'80s, traveling throughout the Eastern Block smuggling Bibles and meeting with the underground Church, his heart is still firmly tied to the persecuted Church worldwide. He and his wife Cherisse were married in 1985 and moved to Missouri in 1989 to start Calvary Chapel. Wes and Cherisse have five children and eight grandchildren.
Jim Domen is a pastor, husband, father, and author who founded Church United. Jim travels the globe sharing his testimony of redemption and restoration having come out of a gay lifestyle. His full bio can be found at his website at the link below.
Robert has been instrumental in the furtherance of religious liberty and other constitutional liberties through the education of officials and the prosecution of numerous federal lawsuits. In 2005, he followed his passion and started Advocates for Faith & Freedom, a nonprofit law firm dedicated to the protection of constitutional liberties, with a focus on faith-based liberties founded in the Free Speech Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment.
Robert was also named as one the Nation’s most influential lawyers in Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Lawyers in America. He has been featured in American Lawyer and The Daily Journal, two prominent trade magazines. On many occasions, Robert has been called on to comment and be interviewed by local, national, and international media outlets for various cases he has fought on a national level. He has been a featured television and radio guest on numerous national and international media programs.
Since passing the California Bar in 1995, Robert has practiced business, real estate, and constitutional law. Robert received a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1995 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, in 1990. Robert has spent the last twenty-five years as the managing partner of a private law firm in Southern California, now known as Tyler Law, LLP. Robert has also served as an adjunct professor for the University of Redlands where he taught business law for its MBA program.
